Fish Spa

Laser tag in the park
Walking off the bus today I looked across the street and saw what seemed like 50 or more people running around in a park yelling. They were playing laser tag and all were carrying large toy guns. It was very funny to watch and at the same time I wanted to join the game. It’s never a dull day here in Singapore.

Ropes Course
Here are photos from our recent adventure to a rope’s course. It was so much fun and exhausting. There were about 4 different zip-lines over the lake along with a bunch of bridges and tree fort like structures to climb.

Night Time Safari
Here’s some pictures from the Night Time Safari trip we did this weekend. Most of my pictures didn’t come out. I guess I have my grandmother’s luck when it comes to taking pictures. Camera flashes in the park are forbidden due to all the animals being nocturnal and camera flashes over time will cause the animals to eventually go blind. The park was amazing and I only walked through half of it. It’s very large and they have everything hyenas, giraffes, fruit bats, lions…ect.

Here’s some pictures of my room at the Banyan. I have have the smallest room in the apartment but I still have a king sized bed. There’s cabinets on one side of the room with plenty of storage I’ll never use. In the pictures you can see my roommates and I decorating my room with more of the wall stickers. I’m going for a jungle theme…monkeys are next on my agenda for decorating the room.

The Banyan
The Banyan is the apartment complex we were lucky enough to get a place at. It has a pool, tennis court, and small workout gym. We got a third floor apartment that overlooks the pool from the livingroom. I live with one guy (Nico, he’s a French acrobat) and one girl (Carlie, American from Orlando). I didn’t know any of them until we arrived in Singapore. From the pictures you can see us decorating the place with wall stickers of trees and birds. The stickers really changed the mood of the apartment for the better I think. The right side of our apartment looks into a beautiful Asian Temple. It’s used as a church for some kind of religion…I have no idea which one. Hopefully it’s not Scientology, haha.

Here’s some photos of one of the malls here in Singapore. It’s called VivoCity. The mall has 4 floors and the roof of the mall is park with water pools for kids to play in. The water is very clean but bottom of the pools is layered with brown gravel, giving the water a muddy brown appearance. The photos of the waterfront show my future work place “Universal Studios Singapore.” Construction crews are still hard at work building this place.
